The motorcycle technical inspection (IPO) ensures that your bike is safe, roadworthy, and environmentally compliant.
Since 2022, all motorcycles above 125cc are required to undergo regular inspections in Portugal.
The inspection helps prevent accidents and control noise and emissions.

1. When to inspect

- After that: every 2 years.
Example:
If your bike was registered in 2020 → first inspection in 2025, then every two years after that.
