Motorcycle Rental Lisbon: Daily Prices, October 2026
Motorcycle rental Lisbon prices: scooter, 125, A2, naked, trail and touring, with daily rates for October 2026, mileage, deposit and booking.

Anyone searching for motorcycle rental Lisbon almost always wants the same thing before anything else: a number. How much does one day cost? And what is left out of that number? This page gathers the daily prices of every category we rent in Lisbon, from a city scooter to a trail bike at €195 per day, with what is included, the deposit for each model and the sums worked out for three days. All amounts are for October 2026 and include 23% VAT.
In short:
- 125 scooters cost between €35.68 and €62.57 per day (October 2026 prices).
- A2 motorcycles range from €72.45 to €81.00 per day, trail bikes from €110.35 to €195.25 (October 2026).
- Included are 400 km per day, third-party liability insurance, roadside assistance, a helmet and a lock.
- You book with 30% of the total; the rest is paid at pick-up, in Sobreda, between 09:00 and 19:00.
- The deposit runs from €400 to €2,200 depending on the model and is held on a credit or debit card.
Prices by category, side by side
Instead of listing dozens of model pages, we have grouped the bikes by what you will use them for. The table shows the daily range of each group at October 2026 prices. There is no discount for longer rentals: day 7 costs the same as day 1, which makes the sums much easier.

125 scooters and motorcycles: from €35.68 to €62.57 per day
This is the cheapest way in and, for anyone riding mostly around Lisbon, Oeiras, Cascais or the Margem Sul (south bank of the Tagus), often the most sensible. A 125 scooter parks in any corner, sips fuel and forgives the mistakes of someone who has not ridden for years. If you need a scooter for the city, you will find the full range at motorcycle rental Lisbon scooters.
Today the catalogue has four options in this segment:
- Honda Vision NSC110: €35.68 per day, €400 deposit. The simplest and most economical.
- Honda PCX125: €45.77 per day, €600 deposit. The choice of most city customers.
- Honda PCX125 DX: €55.80 per day, €600 deposit. Same base, better equipped.
- Yamaha NMAX 125 Tech MAX: €62.57 per day, €600 deposit. A more stretched-out riding position, good for those who ride on open roads.
If you prefer a motorcycle with gears to a scooter, the Yamaha MT-125 costs €59.51 per day, also with a €600 deposit. All of these machines require an A1, A2 or A licence, or a B licence held at age 25 or over (valid only in Portugal). If you hold only a B licence and are unsure what you may ride, you will find the full explanation in our guide on how to rent a motorcycle in Lisbon.

A2 motorcycles and maxi-scooters: from €72.45 to €81.00 per day
This is the next step up, for those who already hold an A2 (or A) licence and want more punch without jumping to a 100-horsepower machine. The A2 limits power to 35 kW, as you can read in the Directive 2006/126/EC on driving licences, and the following four options fit precisely into that bracket:
- BMW C 400 X: €72.45 per day, €900 deposit. A maxi-scooter with the highest deposit in this group.
- Husqvarna Svartpilen 401: €73.40 per day, €600 deposit. Light, agile and with an urban attitude.
- Honda ADV 350: €79.84 per day, €800 deposit. An adventure-style maxi-scooter, accepts an A2 or A licence.
- Honda Rebel 500: €81.00 per day, €800 deposit. A low, easy-to-handle custom, ideal for shorter riders.
On all of these models the minimum age is 21. The difference from the 125s is felt mostly on the open road, where there is more power in reserve for overtaking and for longer days.
Naked, supermoto and custom: from €95.79 to €169.80 per day
This is where the bikes for people who know what they want come in. They require an A licence and age 21, and the deposit rises to between €1,000 and €1,700. The October 2026 prices are these:
- Kawasaki Vulcan SE Tourer: €95.79 per day, €1,000 deposit. A tourer-style custom with classic lines.
- KTM SMC 690R: €95.80 per day, €1,000 deposit. A single-cylinder supermoto, fun and demanding.
- BMW F 900 R: €137.55 per day, €1,300 deposit. A balanced naked, the easiest in this group.
- KTM Super Duke R 1290: €157.58 per day, €1,600 deposit. Plenty of power, only for those who know how to manage it.
- Harley-Davidson Sportster S: €169.80 per day, €1,700 deposit. A custom with character and a modern engine.
An example to give a sense of scale: a two-day weekend with the BMW F 900 R costs €275.10 in rental, plus the deposit, which is returned. For the same licence, a Super Duke costs €315.16. The €40 difference buys a lot of extra power, and you need experience to make use of it.
Trail and big trail: from €110.35 to €195.25 per day
This is the most popular group for multi-day trips, and also the widest in price. Mid-size trail bikes cost about half as much as the biggest ones and take you to the same places, just with less technology. The October 2026 figures:
- Honda Transalp 750: €110.35 per day, €1,000 deposit.
- KTM 690 Enduro R: €115.87 per day, €1,100 deposit. The most radical, for those who leave the tarmac.
- Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally: €120.20 per day, €1,300 deposit.
- Honda CRF 1100 Africa Twin: €139.50 per day, €1,100 deposit.
- KTM Adventure 890 R Rally: €165.77 per day, €1,500 deposit.
- BMW R 1300 GS Trophy: €179.40 per day, €2,000 deposit.
- BMW R 1300 GS Adventure: €195.25 per day, €2,200 deposit.
For anyone alternating between main roads and dirt tracks, a Transalp or a Ténéré is the best-balanced bet on price. The GS models are the most expensive in the catalogue, both for rental and for deposit.
Touring and sport-touring: from €100.43 to €170.43 per day
Four bikes designed for covering kilometres, with wind protection and a riding position that does not punish your back after 300 km:
- Honda NC750X: €100.43 per day, €1,000 deposit. A 745 cc engine and a range of about 400 km.
- Honda X-ADV 750 DCT: €107.19 per day, €1,000 deposit. Half scooter, half trail, with an automatic gearbox.
- Yamaha Tracer 9 GT: €155.00 per day, €1,500 deposit. The sportiest of the group.
- Ducati Multistrada V2 S Travel: €170.43 per day, €1,500 deposit. The most expensive of the group.
All the amounts above are for October 2026. If you are planning a trip, it is wise to confirm the price on the model page on the day you book.
What is included in the price
The daily price already covers all fees, 23% VAT, third-party liability insurance, roadside assistance, a basic rider's helmet and a lock. There are no hidden surcharges for the essentials. What is not included are the optional extras, such as additional equipment, and delivery services.
Delivery to the airport or to your address is a separately paid service. Standard pick-up takes place at Estrada Nacional N10-1 189, in Sobreda, every day between 09:00 and 19:00, and rentals are available from one day.
Kilometres: where the sums get done
The limit is 400 kilometres per day, calculated by multiplying the rental days by 400, according to clause 5.1 of the terms and conditions. Three days give 1,200 km in total, which you can use as you like, in one day or spread out. Each extra kilometre costs €0.49.
A concrete example: three days with the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally, at €120.20 per day, cost €360.60. If you ride 1,500 km, that is 300 km over the limit, so an extra €147.00. Before booking, add up the kilometres you plan to ride and compare them with the limit: it is the most useful sum of all.
The deposit, explained plainly
The deposit is not a cost, it is a hold. It stays blocked on a credit or debit card in the rider's name, it is not charged, and the model page states that it is released within 5 working days. How long the bank takes to update your balance no longer depends on us; the terms say that, as a rule, it can take between 7 and 15 working days.
The amount depends on the model: €400 on the Honda Vision, €600 on the 125s, €800 on the Honda ADV 350 and the Rebel 500, €1,000 on the Transalp, €1,300 on the Ténéré, €2,000 on the GS Trophy and €2,200 on the GS Adventure. Make sure you have available limit on your card for that amount, on top of the rental payment.
How to book: 30% now, the rest at pick-up
Booking is done online with 30% of the total amount, or with full payment if you prefer. For three days with the Ténéré (€360.60), the booking payment is €108.18, and €252.42 remains to be paid at pick-up. We accept Visa and Revolut.
On pick-up day, bring your national ID card or passport, the driving licence of the required category and the card on which the deposit will be held. If you want to know more about the right licence category for each power level, the IMT page on driving licence categories is the official reference in Portugal.

Which licence do you need, and from where?
The basic rule is simple: the licence category must cover the motorcycle. A1 covers 125 cc, A2 covers up to 35 kW, A covers everything else. If you hold a licence from another European Union country, you can check the general recognition conditions on the Your Europe portal, and the page on driving licence recognition explains what happens when you move to another country.
A B licence held at age 25 or over only works on 125 machines and only in Portugal. It is not valid for A2 bikes or larger ones, whatever your age or car-driving experience.
How to choose between categories
Three questions settle almost everything. First: how many kilometres per day? Under 150, a 125 is enough; between 150 and 400, an A2 or a mid-size trail makes more sense. Second: will you carry a passenger or luggage? In that case, touring and trail bikes clearly win. Third: which licence do you hold? If you only have a B, the choice is limited to the 125s, and that is not bad, just different.
The temptation to rent the biggest bike possible is understandable, but it is rarely the best one. A Transalp at €110.35 per day costs about €85 less per day than a GS Adventure. Over five days, the difference pays for a good hotel night and a decent dinner.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to rent a motorcycle in Lisbon per day?
At October 2026 prices, rates run from €35.68 per day (Honda Vision) to €195.25 per day (BMW R 1300 GS Adventure). 125 scooters are around €36 to €63, A2 motorcycles €72 to €81 and trail bikes €110 to €195.
Is there a discount for multi-day rentals?
No. The daily price is the same from the first to the last day, so the total is simply the price per day multiplied by the number of days.
How many kilometres can I ride?
400 km per day are included, added up over the whole rental. Each additional kilometre costs €0.49.
When do I get my deposit back?
The model page states release within 5 working days after you return the motorcycle. Because the deposit is held on the card and not charged, the balance only reappears after your bank processes the release, which can take a few more days.
Can I pick up the motorcycle at the airport?
Yes, delivery to the airport or to your address is a separately paid service. Free pick-up takes place in Sobreda, every day between 09:00 and 19:00. The cost of that service is not included in the daily price and should be confirmed before booking.
